Summary of lab's interests

Our aim is to develop and use droplet-based microfluidic system to perform experiments that are out of the possibilities of existing technologies. We develop new tools, procedures and strategies for Cancer research and toxicology.

Summary of project

We propose different projects, that integrates within two research areas of the laboratory: (i) The creation of new generations of devices and procedures for the non-invasive detection of Cancer biomarkers with applications in personalized medicine, cancer recurrence detection and cancer diagnostics. (ii) The development of platforms for toxicological analysis of chemical and drugs. These projects integrates elements of droplet-based biology, microfluidics and soft-lithography. We are looking for students with various backgrounds (chemistry, biology and physics).
